Clutch Pivot???

I am going to change my clutch slave and I saw on www.jspec.com that they sell the clutch pivot with the slave cylinder. The problem is I don't know where this goes?
I don't see it in chilton, and I don't see on my car. I think it is in the transmition, but I'm not sure.
If someone could help me out and tell me where it is and how important it is to change I would appreciate it.
