Hello,

I own a stock 96 240sx and when I first bought the car my cruise control worked. But I found out the other day that it would not set anymore.. The green light on the cruise button on the dash works when I press it but when I hit the set button on the steering wheel it does not set and the cruise light where the speedometer is does not turn on. does anyone know the problem? I did a search and found nothing except another person with the same problem but he has no clue either. I really need this to work cause I drive from Cali to Texas every now and then.

 

Make sure the clutch pedal is not depressed at all. There is some give in the pedal before engagment of the clutch, and if its not fully out, the cruise will not turn on.
