cruise control problem.

Okay,

I just drove 350 miles yesterday... I was just driving down the freeway, and went to hit the "set, coast" button to slow down a little and it did nothing... So I turned off the cruise control and it wouldn't turn back on... the light on the side button worked but whenever I hit "set" nothing happened.... where do I start to look?

btw, it's a 91 se hatch with 105k miles.

I am no cruise control expert, but perhaps its a loose connection to the set/coast button, or maybe the motor that moves the pedal is loose or burned out?

i would check the vacuum hose attached to the cruise control vacuum module under the hood... it is a disk looking thing on the passenger side shock tower under the hood... next to the windshield washer motor... make sure the hose is in good shape...
