would synthetic tranny fluid be ok for the ka tranny if it was gl-2 -gl5 rated

old thread but shouldnt you NOT be using synthetic in the transmission? something about it being too slick and not letting the synchro's work properly? My '93 240sx shop manual says use GL-4 in the transmission, Synth only GL5 in the diff.

how many bottles

how many bottles of tranny oil do u need also when using it with lucas gear oil stablizer

Hey man try advance auto parst store,they got Redline Oil Products in there ,trust me thats what I use in my engine ,its good stuff,btw I need to change my tranny fluid but Im not sure what to put in ,either REDLINE MT or what?

I have been keeping an eye on this post but I still dont really see a clear answer ,is the Redline MT GL-5 or 4?

So, while we are on the topic of gear oils, what does anyone know about royal purple fluids. I know their motor oil is good, but their gear oil says it uses a special additive that wont wear down soft metals, and it is both GL4 and GL5 approved. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Every time I hear that brand of synthetics all I hear is good comments about it so it might be worth it to give it shot
