Having probs putting m/t back in!!

Ive swapped my clutch before and last time it was just hit and miss. This time it took like 25 minutes to take the tranny out. I swapped the clutch, and all was good until...... We have to put the tranny back in, I put the tranny on my chest and I just cant seem to get the rod into the hole..lol.. Every which way I turn the tranny, it just seems to be getting caught on something. We lifted the front of the motor with a jack but all is failing... my arms are so tired !! Any body know how this damn thing is supposed to go in???? It tool like 20 minutes last time and this time its taking me hours. Any suggestions will help dearly

The clutch disc may have shifted and be misaligned. Reinstall the clutch and make sure the clutch alignment tool is aligning it right...

yea, using a jack on the front of the tranny helps sometimes also. The tranny starts to hit the floor pan before it hits the clutch sometimes. I just got through doing a 5spd swap in mine and ran into that problem.
