Just finished my diff cover!

Well I bought a lsd out of a 180sx, and it was saposta be here to day with my engine but for what ever reason my stuff wont be here now until Monday So I decided to clean up the open diff cover to use on the lsd (I think there same). Any ways I took some pics!

It wasn't looking to good

So I started by cleaning it in the solvent (?) tank to get all the oil and grease off

Then I put it in the bead blaster

this is how it turned out

I then painted it satin black and used a sanding block with 400g paper to polish up the fins

it turned out not to bad, hopefully it fits, or I'll have to repeat it all over again

To be safe I would keep the whole surface coated...bead blasting or any kind of media blasting leaves only bare metal left which IIRC rusts very easily...
