Thumbs down my S14 is bein an ***!!

okay.. first i already changed the pilot and t/o bearing to stop this whining/grinding noise everytime i balance first/reverse.. it got to the point where it was doing that thru all the gears!!

i replaced it roughly 3 months ago and its doing it again!!! wtf?! this morning when i pulled out in reverse from my garage it did it again but slightly.. i have an ACT 6-puck clutch w/ACT heavy duty pressure plate. arnt they supposed to last a ***ken long time? is the clutch plate too much for the bearings to handle??

and i noticed 'moderate vibration' when i get up to 20mph then goes away after 30.. whats up with that?? im about to sell my car if this keeps happening..

and at the same time..

I am a little confused about when the problem is occuring. in gear? in neutral? clutch in or out? the ACT T/O bearings are know to go bad, it is best to use an oem T/O bearing, as you probably know. the whirring sounds like the t/o bearing.

I think you are describing balancing a gear like engageing the clutch, or slipping the clutch. i think what you are hearing is just teh puck disc engaging. they are notorious for being loud like squeeking and whirling.
