Arrow NEW GUIDE: Removing the Clutch Damper System

It's been awhile but I've finally got back to writing a new guide for everyone who wanted to remove their clutch damper system but didn't know how it was done.

Content removed from site

Feedback welcome.

Good writeup. Always found your writeups very useful with my previous 240 and general knowledge.

hey I just did this last weekend, but I replaced my MC too, bled the system, but the point where my clutch engages seems to have shifted up a bit. It used to engage near the bottom of the clutch pedal travel (towards the bottom), but now it engages a good 3 inches higher up now... does this make sense to anybody else? Will this be a problem...? Or should I just mess around with the pedal adjustment?

When I bled my system the clutch engagement point moved closer to the floor, then after a few days it went back up again to how it used to be. I have no idea... does someone else?

so how do you bleed the clutch? I'm not too familiar with bleeding the brakes.

there's a bleed screw on the clutch slave cylinder. Before you remove the clutch damper there's actually 2 bleed screws (which was why bleeding the clutch system on a stock setup was a pain in the ***) - removing the damper actually makes it easier.

If you know how to bleed brakes, it's the same procedure but with the clutch pedal. If you don't know how to bleed brakes, look it up on the Internet there's tons of how-to's on brake bleeding. Remember with S14 you start with the left rear, then right rear, right front, left front.
