Are nissan trannies interchangable?

There is a 240 parts car for sale near me and i wanted to know if the tranny from the ka24e will hook to a sr20det or an rb20det, if i do a motor swap?

A KA tranny will do your sr20 no good. Do you really drive a s15?

SOHC tranny will not work with any DOHC engine application. I agree with Fries also about the KA tranny doing your SR no good. it's not geared right for that motor

If you do an SR or RB swap 9 times out of 10 it will come with the tranny. The only reason you would need to buy just the engine is if you already have an SR/RB/whatever engine you had's transmission.

I dont think that's right, you can use the KA24E tranny with the KA24DE and vice versa iirc.

You can use the SOHC Tranny for the DOHC KA but you'll be missing a bung for a sensor. Who really cares about emissions crap anyway though.
