No Clutch Pressure
No Clutch Pressure
I have no pressure in my clutch. When i press it, it goes almost straight to the floor. I checked my fluid levels and those are ok. I did a search and found out that i should check my master and slave cylinder, but im new and i dont know where they are. Also i was told to look to see if the clutch moves at all when pressed to the floor. Where exactly under the car am i suppoused to be looking at?
maybe it needs to be bleed? the master cylinder is the thing under your hood in the back right corner witht he brake fluid container on it and al the metal lines running to and away from it. good luck
Last question. Ive just let me car sit for about a week now. When i went out to look at it again, all the pressure was back in the clutch pedal. I know that it will go away but does it still sound like its the master cylinder or somethin else. I havent bleed it yet.
I work at a nissan dealership so I do plan on taking it in, but i was just curious about it. As soon as i pressed it, it would usually just go all the way to the floor and just stay there, never coming back up unless i lift it up. But this morning when i went to look at it all the pressure was back.
definately air...the reason it stops if it sits is becasue the air works its way back up to the top of the master clyinder....bleed the system and make sure you keep enough fluid in the resivoir to prevent air from being sucked back in.
You were right Levi, the slave did go out. Ive been with out my car for about a month now but it should be back up and running by this weekend. I replaced the slave, clutch, now all im waiting for is to get the flywheel resurfaced. Thanks for all of the help.
