problem with rear,LSD??

hey guys iam kinda new to the site and think i have a little problem with my rear. i saw a thread on how to see if i have a LSD on my car or not and it said to burn out and see if their are two tire marks or one. so i did and every time its different. some times two, some times one. also when i jack up the rear of the car and spin the tires. one spins but the other doesnt. from what i know (kinda new to RWD and LSD) if you spin one tire and they both turn the same way you have a LSD but if you spin one one way and the other goes the opposite direction you dont. also iam pretty sure that if it left two tire marks when i burn out some times theirs a chance i have a LSD but its just broke???? any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

i think its if you spin it and both spin the same way you have a true 2 way diff. but if you spin one and the other goes the opposite direction you have a vlsd, and if you spin one and the other just doesnt spin you dont have an lsd of any sort, some one please correct me if im wrong

at first i didnt think i had a LSD but i thought it was almost imposible to burn out with both tires if you dont have a LSD. i can burn out and hold it and both will spin, then i will try it again and one will spin.

Open rear end can still get some power to the other wheel. It's just not a constant thing. That's why.

any lsd will spin both tires the same direction if it's an lsd.

what if its a vlsd, cause my bro has a vlsd and we jacked his car up and spun one and the other went in the opposite direction, thats why i think they both spin together only if you have a true 2 way or welded diff. ???

You could have VLSD and its going out.

Open diff will NEVER leave 2 tire marks doing a burn out. it doesnt have the appropriate gears to do so.
