When mating the SR20 tranny to the s13 stock driveshaft, there's that metal/rubber "ring" on the tailshaft that needs to be removed. Does that need to be cut down, or can it be pressed/hammered off the rear? Is the rear oil seal separate from that ring?

Note to self and others, when starting up your swap for the first time, be sure to install the driveshaft first... otherwise you lose all that nice Mobil 1 synthetic gear lube you just filled the tranny with...
