I found a S13 hatch that I am going to buy but I was wondering one thing. Does the VLSD unit look the same as an open diff? I ask because the diff on this 240 doesnt just look like a round pumkin. It is silverish in color and has what appears to be a heatsinks on the end insted of just being rounded. I though that the open diffs where just rounded on the back. I donno tho. Any info would be great.

 

does the hatch have HICAS, if it doesn't chances are it does not have a VLSD, look at the differential, is there an orange sticker on the pumpkin?

 

all S13 diffs had the little heat sinks.

S14's dont.
