There was an article in "Airman Magazine" recently which told about people taking cheap cars and either using them as "get here and there" beaters, or making cheap cars into powerhouses. The average cost for a servicemember in Japan to buy a used car is $2000. One guy was featured in the article - he purchased his 1996 Silvia for $1800; $4800 in mods and alot of late nights in the auto hobby shop, and his SR20 has a fat FMIC, a GT3240 turbo [I believe it said], and mods which support 540-600 variable rwhp. This is probably the difference between high and low boost on a boost controller. It would be nice to get stationed in Japan.
