well then, have a blast. i can get a full set up ECU, harness, tranny, and motor for $1800 30K on motor. Not the Ebay motors either, this is from an importing motor company in the cleveland area

500 is very possible. There was an article in "Airman Magazine" recently which told about people taking cheap cars and either using them as "get here and there" beaters, or making cheap cars into powerhouses. The average cost for a servicemember in Japan to buy a used car is $2000. One guy was featured in the article - he purchased his 1996 Silvia for $1800; $4800 in mods and alot of late nights in the auto hobby shop, and his SR20 has a fat FMIC, a GT3240 turbo [I believe it said], and mods which support 540-600 variable rwhp. This is probably the difference between high and low boost on a boost controller. It would be nice to get stationed in Japan.
It was published that his car ran a 10.8 in the quarter.

however I think are only going to make sr20ve, sr20 with variable valve lifting, since there is a rumor about japanese government is planning to ban turbo
