Advantages of VG30DETT

Well, I've been thinking, the VG engine is a massve engine and in a car about what, 700-800 lbs. lighter than the car it's meant to be in, that engine in a 240 would be beastly as well as a nice little sleeper. 'Cept for the two tailpipes out the end, but then again, people might think it's for show. Anyways, I know fitting one into a 240 is a hassle and thier a pain to work on as I have read in many places. What I want to know, installation and money issues aside, what are the advantages of having the VG in a 240? I mean, they're lots of after market support, just look at JWT and Stillen. But how else would it affect the car? I read somewhere that since it's not as long, it can be moved a little further in and give it a front mid-ship layout, awesome for grip driving. Any ideas out there?
::Sorry for the long post, lol::

300hp stock, and tons of torque, with easy potential for 400+hp!!! What else would you need to know. Its also heavy as hell and takes up your whole engine bay. Even in a 300zxtt you cant see the turbos and any engine bay work requires that you have a japanese anorexic midget be shipped over to do the work for you. I'll never sleep the same after replacing the vg30dett in my 91300zxtt. It was a nightmare.

The front clip of a JDM Fairlady Z weighs in around 2200#'s, heavy is a understatement. Might as well go redneck with a 350 chevy instead, at least it would be easier to work on.

if you are going to do a vg you need to do either a vg30e, vg30de, vg30et or a vg30det a TT will not fit. and you would be better off with a 5.0 from a mustang.

i would do the RB25 if you wanted something like that. Less work, with just as much if not more potential

Yeah, but the VG is not as common as the RB's. I like being a little out of the ordinary.
