another dumb rb question...

Well im putting on my greddy intake manifold and was gonna tap my turbo coolent line into another line, but i was trying to figure out what was pressure and what was return, now the thermostat sits by the lower inlet by the pump, right?? and the coolent exits through the top of the manifold to the top of the radiator, correct?? well if this is the case why is the thermostat infront of the water pump before the coolent enters the motor, usually its at the return side of the motor to sence how hot the coolent is coming out of the motor..

so maybe this is confusing but im just confirming that the coolent is sucked up from the bottom and exits through the top

thanx

-Ry

coolant flows DOWN through the radiator, out the bottom and into the engine...just remember that GRAVITY controls flow in the radiator, PUMP controls flow in the motor.

Tap into either heater hose, shouldn't matter which one.

the COOLANT exits trough the top of the engine, so thats why the termostat is on top, so that after the water is heated up, the termostat can get the precise temperature of the water. If u wana get preasure go in the top were the pump is. if you wana get cool coolant get the bottom one.
