im trying to think of a way to do a swap that i can get leagle in any state i might move to. anyone ever done this? if so how difficult was it and what pointers would you give? also what extra parts need ot be outsourced?

its not street legal to swap a different engine in any state, unless its a newer engine from the same model car. and as far as i have heard both turbos will not fit, but you can use one turbo.

 

yes people have done it in past but it takes alot of work to do a swap like that / money

ok kool thanks for the info guys. as far as the engine swap thing i know in oregon where im from you can swap engines as long as the engine came out of a newer vehicle and it was an engine that was released in the us. not sure about here in florida yet but i believe that is pretty much true anywhere but dont quote me on that but i do know that you can do that in oregon as long as itll pass smog

 

ya man let us know what your planning on doing but if your going after RB or VG your talking ab a big/cost swap but for ka-t or sr it should be easy good luck
