SR Trouble!

This this past four days me and some buddies of mine have been swapping my t25, stock manifold and turbo outlet for a bb s14 t28, dc sports turbo manifold and greddy outlet pipe. well we ran into various little problems, one of them being a broken bolt, which i take full blame for lol. some other problems were nuts that couldn't be put on the outlet pipe because there wasn't enough clearence to fit a wrench in. then i had a problem with the hotpipe. since the angle an dthe position of the t28 is different then the t25, i couldn't bolt the hks hotpipe i have to it. it required a lot of altering, but the main problem was the fact that the bov was on the left side closest to the motor. if my camera battery wasn't dead right now i would attach pics. figures. anyways....we got everything bolted on etc, but then i have to hook up the catch can. i got real lost with that. i guess the directions i was looking at was for something else. so here is the result. my sr idles at 1500-1800 rpms, sometimes it will bounce down to 1000-1200. then it over-heated. that could just be as simple as not putting enough coolant back in. im hoping the idle problem is just as simple as correctly hooking up the catch can. honestly i couldn't tell you how its hooked up right now cause im so tired, so if someone could tell me how to correctly do it that would be great. oh...and my sr has never had a problem idling, so please don't tell me that rough idling is somewhat normal. its was always around 700rpms, and even thought the bov is atmospheric, i never had problems stalling. it ran and drove like it was the orig motor. so if you have any idea as to what the problem might be, or you need more details....let me know. thanks a lot guys

ps...i will get pics up later.

ok, first off heres a little write up i did on the turbo swap ur doing http://www.club240.com/forums/showth...threadid=31094

Now that you have seen that, if you are talking about the black box inbetween your valve cover and your crankcase, you dont need it. Look at my pic and just run a hose straight to it, just make sure its elevated so it dont get burned, i have mine ziptied to on of those other hoses against the fire wall. Now your gonna want to get a catch can and run the hose out of your valve cover towards the front of your car into one hole of the catch can, and then get another hose to connect from the other hole to your compressor inlet pipe. Here is a pic of what it should look like :

As for your rough idle, check that your blow off valve and wastegate lines are hooked up; and that you have all hoses, couplers, and anything else tight and free of leaks. Also make sure your o2 sensor is in and hooked up properly. Fill up your coolant and oil as well (over heating is not good lol).

hope this helps and let me know the progress

I saw your write up and wrote you a bunch of times. You helped a lot but there were just a lot of small things that made this project a pain in the ***. But i think everything is fixed. I haven't put the catch can on yet, but only because im lazy, so its pretty much hooked up like it was originally. Sometimes when i turn my car on it seems likes its going to die on me as the rpms go way low, but then they go back up. i think the coolant line to the turbo is leaking, and thats the biggest problem. it should be easy to fix, i just have to wait till the shop on base opens to get the car on a lift. until then i wont raise the boost over stock. but i like the new sounds of a bb turbo. i have noticed that the bov is quieter and i dont know why. well...heres a pic of the new sr.

Im glad i could help, as for the catchcan, i would really recommend gettin one inbetween the intake and valve cover, ive caught quite a bit of oil that would be going directly into your turbo, which of course isnt the best thing in the world for it.
