How long has it taken you for the swap to be complete? was it too much work for one guy? I just wanna know how long my car will be out for. You know, cuz i hate my truck and would much rather have my car, so if it takes more htan three months doing a part time swap then i am screwed.

I think I may get my Ca sooner than I thought. But I do have a question, what is a good price for a manual tranny? Will the CA18et tranny bolt on? What ever advice you can give is awesome.

its been awhile since anyone posted in the forums. well i like the CA because its cheaper then the SR but dollar for dollar just as good. Im looking to get a 90 hatch shell 2morow for about 600 and the guy has the car sitting at Spark Racing in La Puente and he said he can hook me up with a motor if i want.So i was thinking stock KA or CA. im really leaning towards the CA because i was worried about the replacement parts and stuff but since i know you can use the pulsar parts i feel much better about it.

Catharis, what was teh hardest thing about the swap? my biggest worry is the electrical wiring. my friend can certainly do the swap but the wiring might be some problems. homeboy is 17 but been drifting since 10. Japanese people really do know their cars. His dad races SKYLINES for a living but hes retired now. my friend flipped his ae86 when he was like 13 going sideway caught a a wheel in a pothole and flipped that thang. hopefully i get a good price on the CA installed if not imma order one from drag drift and do it ourself. this thread was so helpful thanks everyone for educating me and the others.

sorry bout the lack of response

60 hour weeks will do that too you

the hardest part of the swap is just the littl things that come up right when things are lookign good... the swap its self was not hard...

and self control.. i keep buying ****ing parts

you can run it if you can get the fittings made. I dont think the fittings and evaporator line up, so you will just have to take it somewhere and show them what you need it to be and have them put new complression fittings on. I think you might need to switch some plugs on the engine bay harness also. just the 2 that go to the compressor.
haha, you are like the only other person I have heard mention AC when doing a swap. I kept AC on my RB so I feel your pain........gain power/sweat your *** off.............. doesnt sound like fun. I wanna go fast and do it in comfort.

Thats sweet, I was wondering the same thing, but it was never a pressing question in my mind, I am going CA reguardless of AC or not, I have a hole in my Ka's condeser so I sweat through the summer anyways. Here is a pressing question though... Would a 300 hp 240 with a CA beat a 300 hp Delsol? Would the lightweight Delsol take me to school ? I know for sure the CA would have the torque to push it off, but I dont know about the whole small v-tec honda hype this person is smart talking about. Is Nissan Power enough? (Don't think I don't believe, but belief doesn't pay me money)thanks!

thats way too much of a bench-racing question. SO many other things could come into play: suspension, tires, setup, and dont forget it mostly comes down to the DRIVER!, not the bolt ons.
