ok so just like everyone else i want to do a swap into a 240 as soon as i get it. just waiting for the guy to call me back about it. anyways my friend told me to be a little more original and get the ca18det. well i did some research, it sounds like a good engine and all. but what i was wondering is, is it illegal to import that engine over here and swap it in. and if it is then could i just get the ca18 out of a pulsar, turbo it and be legalised. i live in cali so i dunno if it would pass emissions but u would think it would since the engine is already legal here. and yes i know the pulsar is fwd so would it be possible to change the engines drive train? would it be hard, or more efficient than importing? little help here please.

 

Well first...arent Pulsars FWD? If they are then u cant swap in there engine since our cars are RWD. Its not illegal import them..but it is street illegal to have them installed in ur engine. They wont pass smog..so u have to go to a crooked smogger and get him to pass u no matter wut.
