ca18det into 240??

First off is this swap even a direct bolt on or do you need mounts? I have enough for the motor but my friends brother said that with all the little parts that are needed as well its going to come to twice the price I expected. The motor comes with turbo, MAF, all that stuff but what else should i consider before starting this project. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

its a direct swap, buy a clip or FULL motorset with uncut harness and ECU and everything

^ i think that would be hard to get since that motor is really old.

Just do SR way less of a head ache.

less of a headache but around $1,000 more for just the motor. And I have read around that with just some after market bolt ons, upgraded intake manifold, headers, and a nice exhaust that the ca18det runs right up there with a stock sr20. It's just that im on a 2200 dollar budget including motor which is around 1450 with shipping. That leaves around $750 to get the motor in... think I can get it in there for that price?

save some money and do the SR swap. by the time you get all that stuff just to run with a stock SR you will have spent at least 1000.

With the right upgrades, right turbo, good engine and fuel management system, you could make an easy 350-400 + hp with the CA, trust me. The CA is just the little brother of the RB's!!

Hell the Ca is a great motor and all these SR guys are gunna tell you the sr is best, the rb guys will say the rb's are the best and Ka guys will say Ka...
Ca's are good and cheap, most or the engine parts are from a usdm car that you can get parts for easy ... pulsar, i believe.. not sure though. The engine imo is hella tight ! dont be a biter, get a motor that is not so main stream and ganky, Go CA! (see, my opinion is not biased at all.. haha)
