Clanking and hesitating issues
Clanking and hesitating issues
So, I finally got the car working...kind of. I have a brand new clutch. When letting off the clutch and applying a bit of gas, I hear this clanking sound that sounds like its coming from the tranny section. I called the people who helped with the swap and they said for me to check the bushings in the clutch section or the driveshaft. Could the clanking sound be because the clutch is new?
Also, I can boost fine in first and usually second gear but when I boost in 3rd gear, it starts to hesitate. I let go of the gas in fear of hurting the engine and then the motor would stall. I am going to check the injectors tomorrow. I installed a 255 walbro today too. I also have a safc II but have yet to get it tuned right. The car drives fine when not boosting so not sure. I am also installing an A/F gauge to see if it really is leaning or what not. Any suggestions would help. Thanks
BTW: I have a 1995 240sx with an R33 rb25 gtst.

Hesitation usually means detonation, which will burn up your engine. If you haven't changed your pump out that's what it's from. The stock pump for the RB25DET flows 246 LPH, our US pumps don't even support a SR20 over 10 PSI, so you are way short of fuel. Make sure you set your SAFC properly on the MAFS ratio per the instructions.
