Besides parts availability, I am assuming there is nothing wrong with daily driving an SR20DET powered 240, correct? I'm sure silvias are daily driven on a regular basis in Japan, Australia, etc.

Do you guys think I would be better off running a KA series engine here in the states as a daily?

 

Where are you located?

If your in CA, It might be "safer" to stay with the KA. But there are a lot of people that daily drive their SR's here and around the US, nothing wrong.

 

like -HyJynX- said, if you live around here with us in Cali then better safe than sorry, so stay with the KA, but getting a SR20 around here isnt that hard either...i guess just depends on how much you want...my luck isnt as good so I"m staying with the KA and soon to turbo it somewhere down the line....errr anyway there are no problems to daily driving with the SR20 from what i take it, the japanese use it as a daily driver so why not us?...anyhow good luck in your desicion
