hello i just got a 89 240sx coupe in Automatic... a friend... well aquatence of mine does motor swaps and imports clips for a living and he told me he would do a sr20det red top swap with converting the car into manual for 3800 for everything parts and labor... i thought thats a pretty good deal what do u guys say?

yea they do good work... they swaped my motor in my integra. i really want to do this myself but i have no place to do it... i work at a nissan dealer and i have the tools and equipment there but if i drug a front clip there and tore that apart and tore the motor out of my car there, made a big mess, and downed a stall for a week or so they would definatly not be happy with me =p and im still living at home and my mom would definatly kick my *** if i had a busted up front half of a car sitting in the drive way and a car with no motor in the garage... so it seems my only option is to pay someone to do it =(

sound like you should make friends with this guy and get the price down on the swap. its still a decent price thou

 

Either way if the work is good its not that bad of a price, SR clips are becoming harder to find.
