Emergency Advice Needed
I am in a terrible position, I have a 1995 Nissan 240sx (which is the good part) which I just took to the Shop to fix a water pump and misterious noise and was told the noise was the timing chain and it would cost around 1500 to fix. My delima is that i was wanting to do a swap but just not yet. The KA has over 160,000 miles on it, so would you suggest Doing the SR swap or fix the KA?

well i think most of us would say do the swap ull love it however i think a great move would be to pick up a ka that someone has lying around for like 400 and put it in until u get the swap or if u have the resources do the timing chain urself for much much cheaper than that just a thought hope all goes well bullet

You should definetively get the SR, you can have it in your car for around 3000$. If your broke dont get another KA, it cost to swap so you'll still pay more money, unless you do it your self. Just get the hardware to fix it your self or buy a hooptie to drive till you get the SR. I paid $50, that's right fifty dollars for a 94 escort that has about 70k on it and the interior is perfect but all the panels are dented BAD. Ive had it for about 6 months and the only that happened was the ac fan broke, but who needs ac, right?

lol~ oh boy, don't let Big Vinnie see this. U guys will get flamed faster than a whopper at BK. Did the mechanic happen to tell you what was wrong with the timing chain? I think the best suggestion yet has been to go find yourself another Ka~ seriously you can pick one up with like 120K miles on it for like 300 bucks...

If you don't have some cash and time then get the Ka. But if you really want an sr and you have some money then got for it But I wouldn't go cheapo and try to get it all done for $3000. Spend some money and do it right! You will save money and time in the long run
