Im hopping to get a 95 240sx se. I was thinking of getting a s13 front clip, but was wondering what other people would do? Which swap would u do? I'm on a medium budget.

I'd definately go for the S13 SR. Preferably black top though but it doesn't really matter. I figure the S13 engines would be lighter since they don't have the vtc system. They'd be easier to wire too sice they aren't OBDII and don't have the vtc wiring and ofcoarse it'd be cheaper. They even have more hp potential from what I hear.

 

What do you consider a limited budget?

It will cost you atleast $3000 to do an SR20DET swap, and that is if YOU do all the work yourself.

If That is not in your budget, and you still want an SR20DET then I would suggest getting an older 240sx.

 

My budget is around 7-8 grand if my parents dont figure out this is a jdm engine. Thats for buying the car and everything. Hopefully I can find a 95 with no engine or a blow out one, i've come across a few.

 

Just want to make sure that you are not going off the prices that SCC gave to build one for $3000 becuse there is no way that would ever happen. Not even SCC could do that again.
