ok that info was turning me off of the ca but now i think im still going to get one - Brad

 

CA's are good engines-but place emphasis on the "rod bolt torqing" so you don't get a knock.

 

Yeah now that is one thing you want to make sure and do. I am going to do that first of everything.

When i got my ca all i did was tune up(plugs, o2 sensor, filters) my belts, and my waterpump/thermostat. I had to take off the oil pan only cause the pan had a small whole. I replaced the gasket while i had it off. New tranny mount cause mine was dead. CLutch is good.

Been running/drifting for 3 months now. I had to take the tranny off afterwards cause i broke the pivot, and the seal where the driveshaft goes in was leaking. NAPA makes good belts, or get some racing belts from raretrick.com (it may take a while for those) but definately worth it. I broke alot of alternator belts cause i had the wrong size, and weak(discount/pepboys) belts. Goodluck!
