Guage problems
Hey guys,
I have a 89 240 SE with a 95 KA in it. My problem is with the gauge cluster. When i picked it up the fuel and Temp guage worked not the Speedo and Tach. The next day none of the guages worked. I replaced the guage cluter with one from a 94 but nothing is working still, Do I need to put a newer style connector on the dash harness? NE help I could get would be greatly appreciated. Also Can anyone tell what are the best plugs to run and how can i lean out my motor, (runs way to rich) I just replaced the spark plugs and there satrurated in carbon deposits?

The speedo prolly doesn't work because you need to install the speed sensor from the old engine that came out of the car. The tach should work if you put the newer cluster in, if not you probably have some wiring problems with your swap, maybe the dash pug not spliced right.
