Hauling a front clip

What could I use to haul a front clip(rb20) from CA to AZ?

I was thinking a tow dolly but I dunno.

It's cheaper than paying for shipping i hope

any suggestions?

will be taking my friends Chevy Silverado Z71 4x4.

to haul but i don't think it will fit in his truck bed it's an Extended cab too.

If packaged, the front clip should be on a 4x6 platform and boxed.
You should be able to forklift it into the chevy and tie down.
No more than 500-600lbs. So any Chevy over 1/2ton can handle it.
If I were doing it, I would rent a Uhaul trailer, dbl axle and throw it behind the truck, if the truck can't work the size.
Figure $100 vs. shipping of $195 - $210. It sounded like you were heading that way as it is...

You think the whole front clip weighs 500-600 pounds? I just had my SR clip flat bedded across town. It doesn't look less than 1000 pounds..... of course I haven't weighed it. By the way, my clip was slightly more tha 5' x 6'.

we will probably get a tow dolly and see how much that will run for 2 days renting two way.

Just for good measure so if it doesn't fit we will still have a way to get it back with out being *** out in Cali.

I believe my buddy said his 180SX clip weighed in at 1300 pounds. It's going to take more than a little engine hoist to lift it, I hope you have a heavy duty one, you'll probably need it in this case.

My Rb clip weighted in about 1700lbs. Your going to need a flat bed or a car trailer.

I had my RB20det clip shiped from Washington State all the way to NC. It cost me a pretty penny (a lot). Then in order for it to get to my house I got a flat bed to "tow" it to my house. Then he just kind of let it slide off the bed into my yard. Difficult but it worked. Now it is sitting in my yard. The guy that towed it said he knew how to get it on the flat bed again so I am set.
