Help with shift light installation????

hey guys, i got an Autometer Pro-Shift shift light the other day and need to know what the green wire on the shift light goes to. Its going in a 240sx with the S14 SR20 blacktop swap. Not sure if that matters or not. But i figure it goes to the Tach lead wire, i just dont know where that is on a 240. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks (the more details on where exactly it is at under the hood, the better .

Brandon

usually you connect to a constant power source and then find the wire for the tach and a ground then boom done.

I dont know if it is different for a blacktop SR or not, but on my redtop i had to buy a tach adapter to convert the signal of the SR to the type of signal that Autometer uses in all their insturments. if i hooked my Autometer tach up to the factory tach output on the ecu the tach wouldn't work.

How I got my tech meter done was, I hooked up to the crank angle sensor, using the white wire. That works better.

An also, the diagrams above are for the ecu plug? or for the plug in the dash?

for the blacktop u use n3-d but it doesn't really matter because its the same setup as the other sr motors i believe. and this just shows where to put the rpm wire from ur tach to the ecu
