How to change a Timing Chain

I recently purchased a used engine to install in my '91. I would like to do some basic maintenance to it before I drop it in. I know Plugs, wires, water pump, seals, all that good stuff. What about the timing chain sprockets. Which of the sprockets should be changed along with the chain & tensioner. Also I have looked & unsuccessfully found instructions for doing this job online. Any info is greatly appreciated.

download an FSM for the S14 SR (i'm assuming you picked up an SR). it has a step by step on how to replace the timing chain.

As long as your sprockets aren't missing any teeth, you don't need to replace them.
