Insure it as a regular 240, the engine is illegal so I doubt you want them knowing.

yup... but dont let it get totaled... if they find out you have have an illegal motor swap and didnt inform them, its insurance fraud if imnot mistaken and they will not cover your claim. Just a lil fyi

From past experience, insure it as a stock car. Do not let them know u did the swap (or going to) and (knock on wood) if anything happens, say nothing. 98% of the time, when an adjuster comes out to inspect the car, they look at the damage only. They never look at the motor, unless it was damaged in the "accident." From running a body shop for over 2 years, almost every single insurance adjuster I had to deal with comes in writes up the damage quote, argues with me (***ing progressive) and then cuts me a "finalized negotiated check." And I do my job.

I had one adjuster come in one time, stared directly at his clients S14 (RB20 swapped) and didnt realize it was illegal. Cut me a full value check after I negotiated that I could do the job for cheaper than the cars current market value and got the sucker fixed and left my shop with a clean title still.

Overall, as the saying goes, you say nothin, they know nothin.
