i was wondering if u guys could help me with this one here.. i just bought a 1989 nissan 240sx for 100.00 buckz right but there some problems with it the cars dash doesnt work and it has 250 miles on the chasis body is in decent shape nuttin a lil bondo can do.. anothr this is the car has been sitting in a drive way for a year with a dead motor the guy says that the car doesnt start i was wondering if it was from the motors battery or the alternator ar starter.. Any ways i was wondering wat i should do motorwise with car cuz mad people tell to drop a SR20 or a RB 25, 26 on the car and i dont way wat to drop.. cuz i want something tha will push about 450Hp+ easily and fitts there with out doing fabricating. cuz the exterior and interior i noe wat ima do..

RB 25det stage 2 will hit 450-475. about 11,200 after the engine swap (5,000-8,000)

Sr20det will get there only because of the after market but you WILL be broke unless you're rich.

RB26dett costs around 12,000-17,000 for install and parts are hella epensive.

Hey man....I am somewhat in a similar dilemma. However my car is a '97 240 that is in amazing condition unfortunately it is an auto.
But I plan to do an engine swap with a RB25DET with 5spd tranny as well as do complete suspension work(rims & tires also), body work, paint job, interior, cage and racing seats etc etc etc
But you have to be realistic. There is no way unless you have a crap load of money can you do this all over a short time frame.
So what I did was come up with a schedule and a list of whats important to me to do first. It will take me 1-2 years to complete but I am doing one area at a time leaving body kit and paintjob till the last
So just do what I did...plan it out ahead and do 1 thing at a time whatever you feel is important to you. Example: I am going engine swap first because I hate auto in a sports car and want some power first. Then I will do suspensoin to handle it all and so on and so forth
Takes time and money bro good luck
