ka24de or ca18det????
i would say the ka because of bigger displacement but alot of people just dump ka's and get the ca just because they like em. if your looking for more power i would just say boost the ka. but if your just looking for a dd moter and want to have something different go with the ca i guess.
Now you got me thinking...Well my engine as 190000miles and i like to drive it hard once in a while,im already replacing the headgasket, front cover, waterpump and thermostat so the engine is out of it right now, what could i do to the ka to bring to up to lets says between 250-300 horses??I dont know much about car and a little help would be apreciated.
well ka's can only hold like 250 hp on stock internals and the tranny cant hold more than like 250 either. but you could get the stock sidemount and piping from the sr and the t25 and run like 7 pounds until you can afford to get internals so you can rebuild and run more boost and a bigger turbo. oh yea and youve got to rebuild the tranny too. the ka is pretty expensive if you want to start making real power cause you have to rebuild first.
Thx for the tip.i was looking at new aftermarket header, manifold and air intake would that be safe or just plain dumb?(engine is probably getting rebuild soon) and for the money i dont really have a limit but i dont want to go to much either cuz i want to save for an sr20 swap sometime
