sorry guys for the lame questions but I'm new to Nissans (just converted from honda).

just got myself a 1990 rps13 with a blown ka24e engine, my friend is selling me his 95 ka24de engine complete with tranny and cpu for $500 it only has 95 thousand km on it. Just wondering what kind of things I will be needing to put that in my car for now until I can get some cash for the sr20 swap.

Ps. I will also need to convert it from auto to manual.

would this be your daily driver??? If not, i would hold off. Why swap in the KA if your ultimate goal is an SR?? ISnt that a waste of 500 bucks that could go towards the purchase of an SR. Anyway as far as the swap goes I beleive you need

DOHC gauge cluster or aftermaket tach as the two engien put out different signals. 12V for SOHC and 16V for DOHC o on the stock 90 cluster, your tach wont work

DOHC power steering lines if you plan on keeping power steering

I am not sure about A/C stuff. My mind is drawing a blank, but I am thinking that is it. I hear the wiring is minimal. Still do a search, I have a feeling I am leavign out something. Basically you will need everything you would need for an SR swap except stuff like upgraded fuel pump, electric fans, **** like that.

Spec I'll take your advice and hold off until funds become available for the SR since this is not a daily driver.
