ka24de swap for ka24e

hey you guys, im new and i have a quick question. i have a 90 240sx sohc and i want to swap the engine for a dohc ka24de. all i need to know is what is involved with trying to do this swap. thanks for your help.

well
i did not do it my self but i guess you will need the engine /tranny/ecu/cluster/power steering lines
just like a redtop swap but every thing else whould work fine let me know if you need a motor /tranny /ecu
i got a dohc for sale with 85k miles on it off my 92 se fastback

Power steering lines and the tach are the only conflicts, I think.

it would be a relitively easy swap but i would only do it if someone gave me a ka24de or i purchased one real cheap,or my sohc blew up. read the debate on here about dohc vs sohc,

I know this thread is old, but this is what happens when you search.

I have a bent exhaust valve on my 89 SOHC. I can still drive on 3 cyls and still get a good amount of power past 3000 rpms. I would rather do a SR swap, but right now, money isn't available for that. So I would like to just do a DOHC swap, and get the extra 15Hp. My question is, how difficult will this be. re routing lines is not an issue to me, but what about mounts and ECU wiring.
