Question questions about ka24e-ka24de swap

alright i'm planning on swapping my ka24e for a de like the title says. are there any special tools (pneumatic tools etc.) i need to take the engine out? the reason i'm asking is the donor car was t-boned and is undrivable so i'm going to be taking the engine out in my back yard.

i know if i want a/c and power steering i have to move the lines, resevoir, and compressor. i don't think the power steering would give me much trouble but what about the a/c? would i have to take it somewhere to have them recharge the system?

as alwayz any help would be greatly appreciated

if the A/C system is 134a you can do it yourself, if not it will need to be charged by a shop (if they will even use the old stuff anymore) or you can get a conversion kit and still do it yourself.

it should be on a sticker under the hood, or on the compressor, if not call the dealer and ask them.

taking the engine out is pretty much straight forward, just disconnect everything thats attached from the chasis to the engine, loosen up the bolts on the mounts, and lift her out.

so i don't need air tools to break apart the tranny from the engine or to break the motor mounts.
