ka24e auto to manual

Okay,
I'm buying another ka24e for my 89 240sx, and it has an automatic tranny... I'm going to use my 5spd tranny, so what all will need to be changed on the engine for it to work with the manual tranny?

Just the flywheel, or is there other things?

your not converting your car?, right. There should be very little to change maybe the tranny harness, tourqe converter to clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel. That should be all, but if your asking if it can be done yes, not to difficult either. Good luck

right... my car is already a 5spd... I'm just pulling out the engine, and dropping this engine in, which used to have an auto tranny attached to it...should I already have all the parts needed from the engine that's in my car right now? i.e. clutch, flywheel, ect?

Yeah, just use the clutch/flywheel that is on the old engine. Use the harness/ecu that was on the old engine, and the manual tranny. U should be good to go!

don't change the ECU, just bypass the netural safety switch on the auto shifter. By doing this you will have no speed limiter.

im not converting anything, why would I mess with the ecu? all i'm doing is taking my 89 240sx 5spd, and pulling the engine, and putting the same thing back in...just it used to be auto.

Kids right. . pull off that slushbox auto tranny, and put the flywheel and clutch from your manual tranny on there, with your manual tranny.
