All right, I might be able to get a DE engine from a friend for cheap,both are from S13 cars and stick..my questions are? will the tranny work from the E to the DE engine? what parts will I need if any? Any info on how the wiring will work? how hard?
Any info on how to do this will be appreciated..and Im getting the engine cheap cause it need some engine block work done..like the crank and bearings..any way this could be used from the E engine??

is your engine still good?

if so...just swap out the head and manifolds.

like doing a hybrid or frankenstein. it would be a lot cheaper than sending the block out to a machine shop.

 

What's involved with the swap? I was told by a Nissan pro that it's not possible, the mounts on the blocks are totally diferent. I haven't really looked at them, bu he says the DOHC is larger. I have a 89'SOHC with bad head or head gasket (not too sure but it still turns over and the oil is solid black without water in it and 240 has been sitting. Now, the 93'DOHC's block is locked. So Anubis if you have anymore info PLEASE tell it to me! This swap would be VERY benifical to me, as I can at lease get piggy running and just give up and do a swap for night (93) Maybe RB25? SR20? Never know.
