Is a KA24E always a KA24E?

I'm looking to buy a head for my 1991 S13 with a KA24E single-cam. I found a completely re-done head for a nice price, but it's described as fitting a "stanza or pickup" ...

I asked the seller if he knew if this would bolt on, and he said he didn't know.

I'd hate to buy this thing, and have it shipped only to find out it won't fit my block.

Any info/insight would be highly appreciated.

wait, lemme get this straight: u have an SOHC in ur 1991?? or are u trying to swap an SOHC head onto ur DOHC block (for God knows what reason)? u ARE aware that 91-up 240's are DOHC from the factory, right? i'm trying to figure out why u want an SOHC head. anyhow, IIRC, methinks there are slight differences to the heads for Stanza and pickup KA24E's.

Call it subconscious wishful thinking, I suppose. It's actually a 1990 and it's definitely single-cam. And it definitely needs a head and gasket.

Thanks for pointing out the typo/wrong info there.

Anyone else have any input?

Thanks a lot for the info.

Lots of conflicting reports in there.

I think i'll hold out for a real 240 KA head... or maybe get the one that's on it broght back into spec.

I'm still a bit curious, though, about everyone's experiences...

Just tough to see this for so cheap:

Oh well. Thanks again.
