Lets See Who Gets This: Fuel

S13 blacktop into s14.
walboro 255 HP pump.
Z fuel filter

those are the only fuel system modifications exlcuding one that i will leave out so it doesnt bias anyones diagnosis.

Now for the problem. Car starts and runs perfectly from cold start to shutdown. But if you try to start it when its warm say after driving for a while it wont start again. Basically the engine is flooding. But it runs perfectly from the cold start.

Any ideas?

Probably not. It doesn't take much of a leak to depressurize the rail and flood a cylinder, and when the injector's running, the amount of fuel that dribbles past the pintle while it's in the "closed" position is insignificant compared to the normal flow.

What is your AFR after its been running & warm? Are you 100% its "flooding"? Have you checked the coolant temp sensor's signal to ensure it is correct when the engine is warm? Is your idle air controller working correctly?

What is the modification you left out, might be your problem???

Does it crank fine & quickly? I had an issue with my old car where the battery had a shoddy ground & heat created too much resistance in the negative cable to restart when warm.

MAFS would still start fine, just limit revving. I have gotten cars to start with the MAF not even hooked up, it just wont rev past 2.5K.

Alternator doesnt make sence either since it doesnt control engine function, only recharging of the battery & provides juice during the running of the engine. The alternator isnt even creating power at cranking speeds....

Well it was a loose plug. The mod I left out wasnt even a mod. The person who had the car before me replaced the return fuel line and ignored the warning printed directly on the hose. DO NOT USE ON FUEL INJECTED SYSTEM!!

Isn't it nice when it turns out to be something simple and stupid? I'm glad to hear you got it sorted out.
