lots of problems with wiring

I got alot of suggestions on where to send my wiring out to be done. But I wanted to atleast get the car running then send off the wiring to the place. I followed heavythrottles website with the wiring, and connected them properly. I tried starting it but it just cranks, I doubled checked the wires but still nothing. I took off the back seat and lifted the trunk carpet to feel or hear if the pump is coming on. So cranked it again, no sound or anything from the pump, I then disconnected the fuel pressur regulator hose and a little fuel came out. I put the hose in a cup and cranked it again, no fuel. At this point im stumped, I am going to check for spark(havent checked that yet). I am guessing that the pump isnt getting power, or the pump is shot. I am also assuming the ECU is bad, how can I check? I also checked the fuses and switched a couple of relays around to see if any of them were bad. Also theres alot of plugs that I dont know where they go, off the jdm harness and also i found a couple around the right front strut area, by the firewall. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I will write another thread about stuff that are not plugged in to anything and are just lying around. Thanks everyone

try hooking the fuel pump directly to power and see if it works then. Other than that check your wiring. There will be a couple of extra plkugs hangin if you omitted the emissions.

The black/pink wire from the ECU controls the GROUND for the fuel pump relay. Find that relay under the hood, on the passenger side front and try grounding the black/pink wire straight to the body. Your fuel pump should kick on then. If it does, double check your wiring for that line to the ECU. If it doesn't, check your power supply to the relay.

Which one should I go by? There two black and pink wires. Is the black/pink the wire where the majority of the color is black, and has a little pink line on it, or is it majority pink with a little black line going across it?

a lil off topic...

but I heard that a notchtop (s14) is easier (or better) to do into an s14 rather than putting like a redtop in there b/c of all the sensors. If this is a bunch of crap I am goin to get a redtop, if it is true, then I will prob get the notchtop.

Thanks,
Sly
