Question Newbie question

Alright, I searched but didn't find anything. I'm mainly an RX-7 guy, but I'm building an S14 right now and need some info from you guys. I don't see the purpose in paying all the extra money for an S14 front clip when the S13 is supposed to be just as good if not better in some respects than the S14. I am planning on using the S13 Blacktop out of the 94-98 180SX. Is that going to be a drop in swap or is there going to be modifications galore like I'm afraid there will be? Any and all info that you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance everybody. Laterz.

Also, is it possible to pass an emissions test after the SR20 swap is complete? I'm moving to a place where I'll have to pass emissions. Once again any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

it is possible to pass emissions but just to tell u right now the swap is 100% illegal. You might be able to pass emissions tho with a little modification, and i think the s13 blacktop does just drop in, and BTW the difference in the s13 and s14 sr20's was the s14 sr20 had Variable Valve Timing System and uses low port intake design and the s13 uses high port

Thanx for the info bro. Very much appreciated. I won't need to pass emissions in the U.S. I'm in the Air Force and I'm moving to Portugal this summer. I know that my 3rd Gen RX-7 would never pass seeing as it's a straight through exhaust now and rotaries barely pass when they're stock. Well, thanx again for the help. Laterz.
