Now what?

i'm new to the forum. i have a 1998 Nissan 240sx auto. I'm looking into doing an sr20det swap with my father (engine, trans etc) i have found a front clip for $3,000 but i have questions.

1. Can i still have a/c and if so do I need to buy a new one or can I use the one from my ka24de?
2. With the front clip, what else do you suggest I get/need to get to make it all work?
3. Will my auto gauges work w/the swap?

I know these are a lot of ?'s and I'm gonna get yelled at to use the search feature but I've been searching for a week now and can't find anything (yes I'm a noob) just wanna get the "father son project" underway. Thanx guys.

the front clip:

1. AC you can have it on the SR, you just need the KA bracket modified to work on it (IIRC)
2. You don't need much to make an SR work. But if your not planning on getting a bigger turbo/buying a boost controller, I suggest seeing if it has the factory boost solenoid. That will raise the boost up from the factory 7psi to 11psi.
3. and yes, your gauges will work fine, if you're sending your wiring harness out to get done, make sure you tell them it's an auto to manual swap. I suggest using Durdan from this forum, he does excellent work!

If you're not going to rebuild anything then just do the basic maintenance that everyone does before the swap like some gaskets and whatnot.
