Bought my car today now makes a wierd noise
I just bought my 240 today and i love it except that when you back up and stop it makes a thud noise i thought it was the exhaust but i checked it and nothing touches. Where is the noise from????

you have to replace the trailing arm rubber.
Jacking the car to open the well is the Best way to view this.
Just an idea
I wouldn't really classify this as a complaint or even a problem. It's just one of those things you have to deal with when you have an older car. Mine makes that grumbing sound but it stops fine. Thats why I've never bothered to worry about it. If you really want to fix it though, I'd just replace the rubber as was suggested. Either way, if that doesn't work, you'll be closer to finding the real problem. Should be pretty easy to find.
Good luck,
Matt
