Thumbs up RB install kit

OK, I must admit I was pretty convinced to begin with, but now I'm 100%. now, to begin the gathering stage. I have heard good things about the rb install kits, and was looking at either the unstable or Mckinney kits. the unstable is cheaper and comes with a custom intake manifold and downpipe, but is that crap necessary? but what struck me was that unstable was cheaper with the two extra parts. SO.............. can someone tell me why? Is the mckinney product that much better, and is the manifold and downpipe really nessecary? thanks.

Ok, are you talking about RB20 here or RB25? Im thinking your talkinga bout RB20 but not sure. First off, you do not need the custom intake mani. You do on the other hand need the downpipe, if i remember right the stock RB downpipe has a clearance problem.

The McKinney mounts have had stripping issues and the unstable mounts have never really proved what they do besides lower about .25"

Yes, they will, you are correct. I have a mount kit for the RB25 that's about half the price of McKinney's kit.
