i need help to diside on which motor to put in my s13 coupe i am looking at a vg30de or a rb20det
which one is better?

 

personal preference vg is a less common swap i personally dont know of anyone with one but on here many people have a rb20det so info would be easy to come across its not which is better in our opinion its what you want

 

RB20, VG engines were a poor design IMO. One thing breaks, you fix it, another part goes.

But either engine, you should do a good rebuild before you swap. I would say for the price, spend a little more and go RB25.

 

VG30's are in the maximas arent they ive seen to many of those its like someone couldnt find a 240sx so they settled with the max.

 

stock ka. suspension, wheels, braces, random accessories. now thats cool. you dont need any of those motors. especially not an rb20 or vg.

 

just do a VQ swap...
