I don't have the wastegate connected yet just fired it like 20 mins ago. I'm going to start out at 8psi and borrow a friends wideband and see what the stock fuel sytem can handle.

Isnt stock boost on the RB20 10PSI???

Good to hear that its running, tell me about your fuel system...if you upgraded the fuel pump(walbro or similar) you might need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

I upgraded to a Nismo pump that came out of one of the rear cuts I got to repair my car. It's a upgrade part # for the SR20 and should be fine. It's running really rich, another guy who just did a CA18 swap had the same problem but it corrected itself once he got it out on the street and drove a bit.

my RB was running really rich when I first got it running to. It also has this wierd thing (I believe with fuel pressure) that if it sits for a few days or a week it stalls the first time or 2 you start it. I sit and let the fuel pressure go down for a minute and it starts fine.

Mine is ok so far, seems to be learning the new setup, I need to get it out tho and I'm mounting my battery in the trunk right now so I can take it for a drive. My hose for my boost guage is also about 8" too short so I'll have to get some more before I test drive it. Found some test results in the internet an Austrailian posted in Metric and HP that were pretty cool. RB20 with 60 trim T3 and 3" DP/exh, Walbro fuel pump knocked out 316 WHP at 16 PSI. No front mount stock computer, near max on the injectors tho. I think I should be able to see around 280 with my front mount and T3/T4 at around 10-12 PSI, which is fine for my daily driver.

any idea what my throttle blip could be? its like a stutter. It doesnt lack power I spun the tires all the way through 4th gear, and could've spun 5th if I wanted to abuse the new clutch I just put in..... I feel so dumb asking questions like this, but I am still learning a new game here. If this was a vette or camaro motor I could hear it over the phone and know whats wrong, but I guess that goes to show you can always learn more.

These motors are basically the same animal as a camaro or corvette, with fuel injection....

The basic concept is the same, execution is just a little different

could be alot of things, maybe try adjusting the cam angle sensor slightly, or the throttle position sensor.

thats what I was thinking, timing, cause its almost seems like the computer can correct it, but it takes it a fraction of a second. anybody know what the proper TPS voltage is? and what the proper way to set the timing is? And what is stock fuel pressure set at, just so I know.
