rb25det swap ?

how involved is this swap as compared to an sr swap. i have been looking into it and the hardest part seems to be extending the factory harness from the r33 to go from the right side to the left side so the guage cluster will work. other than that it looks fairly easy.

and what kind of specialty parts such as fmic's for the rb25 240's. ive been looking on phase 2 motortrend, srswap.com, and night7racing.com. any help you guys want to throw my way would help alot. also xatracing, anybody hear bad comments about them ?

It's cool, I used to be the same way until I took everything from a business perspective and then I realized why Unstable Hybrids was the way they were...although they took it to the extreme way too much. Information is valuable, I am just glad you don't have to attach a business and competition etc... to it and can share it freely and openly. Anyone that buys a RB20DET from me, I will refer to NizmoButtNutz (Nismo241)...and I know I'll be going to Jon for latter wiring aid since he has developed different methods that allow you to keep different things...took him a lot of time and devotion to figure it out.

Alrighty no one take this the wrong way but WTF???...are you kidding me?? Isnt your business "edge" the fact that you can provide technical assistance on RB swaps that "certain" other importers cant. Did you ask Nismo...hey can I refer fools to you who buy from me??? I just read this and thought I would ask him did you guys have some kind of business arrangement and he was liek what are you talking about.....I mena you go out of your way to bash places for not providing technical assistance, but when someone gets a swap, you are going to "refer" them to someone else....

Actually, I would refer customers who buy a RB20DET from me to speak with Nismo241 since he is much more knowledgeable on the RB20DET swap than I am and is generally willing to share that information with anyone. If he is not willing to provide them with any info, then I will do my best. I deal mainly with the RB25DET's. Anyone that is a customer of mine will get tech support whenever they ask for it or call me on the phone. Jon Powell has done a much more extensive wiring setup than what I did on my car. My wiring works and has worked and made my car run without problems, however, he has developed a different way that integrates two harnesses with extending, cutting, moving plugs etc... and you can use either the RB gauges or the KA gauges...your choice with his setup. He also informed me that he is working on the A/C as well. I admire his effort on the wiring, it takes a lot of patience and devotion. Venus-Auto is the company that doesn't supply any tech info and now their pricing is becoming higher than mine...I really don't have anything to worry about with them, plus, they keep shipping out bad motors to people, I am just sorry it had to happen to Nismo241...

There aren't many companies in the US right now that will have the RB25DET clip...just keep checking around. I'll be on backorder for about 3 more months...so no way I could help you there unless you were looking for a RB20 cause I have about 4 of those on my next shipment.

Funny you mentioned that, I am on my way to building a 400 RWHP N/A KA24DE...after it's finished, I'll post an update on here. 11.5/1 pistons, .050 over, custom headwork etc... A guy who's built tons of these says it can be done...he got 383 rwhp using 10.5/1 pistons.

Nah, it should be streetable with the right LSD and tire combo. The other thing I was thinking was maybe 350 RWHp...not too sure yet if I want to go all the way up to 400. After my head is finished and all of the parts are put back on, I should be around 250 rwhp or so...not too bad for a N/A KA with stock internals.
