It wouldn't be the traction issue that makes it hard to drive on the street. 400whp is unattainable without a high comp ratio, more like 14-15:1, even then I'd have to believe it to see it. The thing won't idle worth a ****, it'd have to run on race gas if not methanol, and it'd take hours upon hours of tuning to get it dialed in. My friends shop just built a civic with 16:1 comp runs off methanol, and they squeezed 260whp out of it, are you sure he wasn't on the spray?

What I was thinking....I mean just the cams alone you would need to use would make that thing idle like ****...........

No, he didn't use NOS, just the NA KA. I've seen some of his work, and I trust his word...NHRA builder for a long time...does excellent work. He said it can be done and I've had a few tech mechanics work out the equation...they all told me the same thing "the numbers match up". Boring .050 over, 11.5/1 with all of the other mods...when it's dynoed, we'll find out I guess...I'm a bit skeptical, but I'm just hoping for the best.

I'd just have to see it. Seems a bit out of reach, at only a 11.5:1.

is an rb20 better than a rb25? im asking b/c people have said that the steering goes way off with an rb swap and sr's are better. but on the other hand people have been able to help this problem. would battery relocation to the trunk help much ? time for more research . . .

so much rumoring about the RB swaps...amazed it still goes around. Steering is not way off with the RB swap whether you use the RB20 or RB25... The steering shaft needs a little tlc to get into place without custom mounts, but that's about it. Handling is just fine on these cars as well reguardless of what some people might want to tell you. Battery relocation to the trunk is not going to change anything on your steering either.

battery moving would help with wieght transfer and pull about 30 lbs. off the frint end. also give me extra room in the engine bay. night, what are you selling the harnesses for? and are you giving a 'core' type price drop if people send thiers to you? i got the price on the motor. 2g's and 250.00 shipn'

RB20DET? I don't do harnesses, but Jon Powell might do it for you. I've spoken with him about doing a wiring service since he's done very well with his car...was going to have him do my harness if he gets the chance. 30 pounds off the front end won't really affect your handling or acceleration...unless you're a N1 racer or something....
